Challenge:
In 2023, Xero was ready to go big with their only conference of the year, Xerocon Sydney. Xero challenged us to push their existing Xerocon event brand identity to allow for more vibrancy and playfulness, encouraging more engagement and further cementing themselves as ‘Beautiful Business’.

Solution:
Taking inspiration from the nostalgia of the year, the secondary brand colours of yellow, green, red and orange were pushed in their saturation. This new set of colours were then carried across into the activation spaces.

The theme of ‘Togetherness’ underpinned all the spaces and activations for Xerocon Sydney. A series of activations were created to bring attendees together from sharing a business networking breakfast at the ‘Xerios Cafe’, shopping together for legacy Xero merchandise at ‘Appareldise’ to taking a meander through the sustainable garden at ‘Wellbeeing’.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Our client was ready to embrace colour! For the food and beverage, a retro pattern was designed that combined SYD23 with the shapes of the Xero brand. This became the basis of all the food and beverage, using crops from the pattern across menus, food stalls, food wrappers and even the tabletops.

XERIO’S CAFE

Taking networking over breakfast to a new level, Xerio’s Cafe embraced the nostalgic joy of having cereal for breakfast.
A large archway of custom-design cereal boxes greeted guests as they made their way into the cafe.

APPARELDISE

With each year of Xerocon comes new merch but how do we get help Xero help relieve themselves of leftover merchandise from past years without simply throwing it away? Create Appareldise, of course!

A retro-themed ‘shopping’ experience that would appeal to the attendees of the 2023 Xerocon gave Xero a sustainable solution to giving their old products a new home whilst also creating more brand engagement for attendees as they took a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
