Title:
10 Things I Hate About This Poster

Awards:
Finalist - AGDA Student Awards 2020 (Print/Poster)

Scope:
Creative concept
Poster design

The brief was to design a A3 infographic poster for the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) aimed at design students. The objective of the poster was to communicate the various relationships a designer typically has within the industry. These include our internal relationships within the studio from creative directors to copywriters to our external suppliers such as printers and freelance creatives.

While not a traditional infographic, ’10 Things I Hate About This Poster’ uses each number to explain each industry role while highlighting a common frustration each role within industry typically faces. This concept utilises the shared understanding graphic design students and professionals have from learning or practicing design. The poster also draws on our familiarity with Swiss style typography to the practice of getting the red pen out to mark up our work. By showing the ‘errors’ on one poster, it also demonstrates the interconnectedness of each role and ultimately how it comes together through a single piece of work.
