Challenge:

The School of Economics at the University of Sydney was looking to create its first alumni magazine, aimed at former graduates, current students and industry partners. The Review had to showcase the recent activity of the School, including events, academic research and alumni stories, all with the purpose of promoting the School of Economics and encourage engagement amongst the alumni community.

Solution:

As the editor and designer (as well as being the project manager and contributing writer!), the focus was to showcase the people and stories featured in the magazine. Whether that was weaving a narrative from the interviews that highlighted key messages that felt relatable to the audience or choosing imagery and compositions that allowed the surrounding story to be the hero. The layouts were kept clean and professional, reflecting a business-orientated publication.
